Why I started mentoring through RGD

Tyler Dias RGD Mentorship Program graphic, I'm a mentor

Last year, I was feeling off.

Work was good, but running a studio felt heavy. Staying motivated, growing the business, a rapidly changing world, the constant noise around new tech and AI — it all started to drain my excitement for design.

Getting more involved with RGD reminded me what it means to be a designer. It was eye-opening in a way I didn't realize I was missing.

So I started giving back by mentoring through the RGD Mentorship Program. If you're a student or Associate RGD feeling uncertain, stuck, or just trying to figure out your next move — I've been there. Happy to help where I can.
