Moderating a roundtable at DesignThinkers

"I'm a roundtable moderator" graphic for RGD DesignThinkers Toronto, October 1–2, 2025, featuring Tyler Dias

I used to hate talking to clients. I'd get so nervous I couldn't form a sentence, and I'd fumble through presentations and calls.

I always hoped the work would speak for itself, so I could stay in my corner and just focus on making it. But if you can't clearly share the thinking behind the work, it doesn't matter how good the work is — it won't land.

Presenting ideas clearly, confidently, and persuasively isn't just part of the process. It's one of the most important creative skills you can have.

This October, I'm moderating a roundtable at RGD's DesignThinkers Conference on how we can take the instincts we bring to design and use them to craft narratives around our work. It's called "Unmute yourself: Strategies for speaking up and being heard." We'll dig into techniques, tips, and real-world experiences to help you connect with your audience, hold their attention, and get your ideas across.

DesignThinkers is Canada's largest graphic design conference, and I'm excited to be part of it.
