The Power of Branding in B2B
We work exclusively in B2B, and there are a few things about that space that shape almost every branding decision we make.
The goal is to solve a problem. B2B customers are driven by need, not impulse — they're looking for something that fixes a problem or improves their business. We keep their value proposition front and centre in everything we design.
Logic over emotion. When companies buy from other companies, the decision is driven by facts and reasoning, not emotion. The marketing collateral we build has to clearly explain and support those facts.
Multiple stakeholders. B2B buying decisions get made by a lot of people across a company, in different roles, with different criteria. Your messaging needs to speak to all of them — which means understanding what each one actually needs, not just the company as a whole.
Expertise is a key driver. B2B branding has to convey real expertise and the ability to execute. Content marketing should be detailed enough to position the business as a genuine thought leader, not just a vendor.
It's a longer, more thoughtful buying decision. More stakeholders and higher costs mean a longer sales cycle. The job of the branding is to build trust across that entire cycle, not just at the pitch.
